Meet Dr. Nicholas Ancona
A distinguished orthodontist who combines his deep-rooted passion for science with a commitment to transforming smiles.
Dr. Nicholas Ancona is a lifelong metro Detroiter and grew up down the street in Warren Michigan. He did all of his education downtown, starting at Wayne State University. There he eared dual Bachelor of Science degrees while publishing multiple research papers in prestigious organic/inorganic chemistry journals. Dr. Ancona then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating top of his class and earning multiple academic awards. He remained at Detroit Mercy for his Orthodontic Residency where he again published research papers, this time on malocclusion genetics and TMJ anatomy. As a resident his achievements were showcased through presentations at renowned conferences and honored with awards like the William R. Proffitt Resident Scholarship Award.
Outside the office
As both a skilled orthodontist and devoted parent, Dr. Ancona understands the transformative power of a confident smile. With a focus on both aligning teeth and correcting malocclusions (bad bites), he offers comprehensive orthodontic care to children and adults alike. Dr. Ancona specializes in early treatment of children and has dedicated many hours of continuing education in the area of clear aligner treatment for adults. Dr. Ancona’s empathetic approach allows patients to feel connected to their treatment plan and goals. Passionate about the science and artistry of orthodontics, Dr. Ancona welcomes the opportunity to guide patients toward lifelong oral health and confidence.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Ancona is enjoying all Michigan has to offer with his wife (Colleen), Son (Leo) and Daughter (Lucy)! They love taking trips downtown to root on the Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings. When the family does leave Michigan, they love taking a relaxing beach vacation together.
